Body Building and Weightlifting

Building muscle has been around as long as humans. It's good for the body and the mind. I like weightlifting because I can set goals for myself such as trying to be able to lift a certain amount in some amount of time. Working out increases levels of some chemicals in the brain such as dopamine making you feel energized and happy. It also helps to prevent mental illness such as depression and schizophrenia. It improves physical health as well, it lowers cholesterol and builds muscle mass and improves organ function. Weightlifting is also a good stress reliever because of the increased levels of dopamine in the brain when working out. Your workout can be improved by supplements and more efficient form and workout technique. An example of this is creatine which is a pre-workout supplement that gives you more energy for a better  longer and more efficient workout. Good form helps to build more muscle by stretching the entire muscle instead of just part of it leading to more muscle mass. Working out with mainly weightlifting for me is a huge stress reliever and it helps to keep me in shape and active. I like going to the gym to talk with people while improving myself, more experienced weightlifters can give advice and tips and show you how to do certain workouts you maybe don't know about. Weightlifting in the right environment has positive effects on physical and mental health, as well as mood. That is how working out and weightlifting affect you and how you can be improved by weightlifting.
